Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds

CARES Act Funding

Congress set aside funding through the CARES Act for the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) for Institutions of Higher Education. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on the disbursement of those funds.

CRRSAA Funding

Congress set aside funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2021 which was signed by the President on December 27, 2020 to supply a second round of funding for HEERF. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on disbursement of those funds. 

ARP Funding

Congress set aside funding through the American Rescue Plan Act 2021, which was signed by the President on March 11, 2021 to supply another round of funding for HEERF. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on disbursement of those funds.  Athens State University has not yet disbursed the student portion of funds for the third round of HEERF funding.  Additionally, it has not yet expended any of the Institutional Funds or Strengthening Institutions Program Funds.
