Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds

CARES Act Funding

Congress set aside funding through the CARES Act for the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) for Institutions of Higher Education. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on the disbursement of those funds.

CRRSAA Funding

Congress set aside funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2021 which was signed by the President on December 27, 2020, to supply the second round of funding for HEERF. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on the disbursement of those funds.

Congress set aside funding through the American Rescue Plan Act 2021, which was signed by the President on March 11, 2021, to supply another round of funding for HEERF. Athens State University received funding from the US Department of Education and is required to report regularly on the disbursement of those funds.
