Athens State to Host Annual Veterans Day Program

Athens State University will host its annual Veterans Day program on November 11 at 10:00 am. This year’s event will be virtual and available to view via Zoom. Ted Janusz will serve as the event’s keynote speaker and the Athens Middle School Chorus will perform the National Anthem.

Ted Janusz is an author, business owner, technology guru, and presenter. He earned his MBA in marketing from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Speaking Professional, Certified Virtual Presenter, and member of the National Speakers Association and National Speakers Association of Ohio. He has spoken in almost every state, across Canada, and in Australia, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Athens State was recently ranked nationally in the top 10% of College Factual’s 2021 list of Best Colleges for Veterans in the United States. The ranking highlights colleges and universities who are working hard to provide quality educational outcomes to veterans, active-duty military students, and their families. To determine the ranking, College Factual looked at factors such as the school’s veteran affordability, veteran support services and resources available, and overall quality metrics – especially those important to non-traditional students. This recognition demonstrates a high level of service provided and personalized attention for veteran students who so bravely served our country.
