Athens State University would like to welcome all alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends to campus for a Homecoming Celebration on Friday, July 24.
The event will begin at 5:00 pm in the Sandridge Student Center Ballroom & Annex where guests are invited to visit and reconnect with former classmates, faculty, and friends. Dinner and drinks will be served. This event is free, but registration is required.
Then on Saturday, July 25, Athens State will celebrate the Class of 2026 at the Summer Commencement Ceremony at 10:00 am at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church (1300 Lindsay Lane S, Athens, AL 35613). During the ceremony, Athens State will also honor the Athens College Class of 1976, who will be celebrating the 50th year of their commencement, alongside our current summer graduates. They will cross the stage in full regalia to receive special recognition and a certificate as an official member of the “50 Year Club.” Attendance is restricted to guests of graduates and a ticket is required for admission.
