Athens State University welcomed higher education professionals from across Alabama for the 2023 Alabama Transfers ACHIEVE Conference on March 1, 2023.
Alabama Transfers works tirelessly to save students credits, time, and money throughout the transfer process. As a result of their efforts, when Alabama students transfer from a community college to a public four-year university, they can rest assured that their coursework will accompany them.
The ACHIEVE Conference is a time for community colleges to come together to hear the latest best practices and strategies on ensuring the smoothest transition possible for students as they embark on the transfer process.
Dr. Keith Sessions is the Executive Director of Alabama Transfers and welcomed participants to the conference stating, “Athens State University and Calhoun Community College are role models in how we should serve transfer students in the state of Alabama.”
The conference consisted of a President’s Panel, Transfer Student Panel, and several topical discussions centered around how to ensure a successful transfer process for each student and school.
The 2023 ACHIEVE Conference served as another reminder to all involved that it’s not how you started your education that matters, it’s how you finish.
