How will an outside scholarship affect my financial aid package?
Financial assistance received from other sources must be reported to the Financial Aid Office. Whether the scholarship or other assistance from outside sources impacts your financial aid depends on many factors. Generally, it only reduces any loan you may have accepted. In certain cases, it can affect other types of aid. Due to federal regulations, students cannot have financial assistance (from all sources) that exceed the cost of attendance.
