The service mission of the Information Technology department is to support instruction and business services at Athens State University by providing and continuously enhancing the technological and human resources required for the design, implementation, management, maintenance and upgrades, backup, and security of the following:
- University server farm
- online storage
- electronic mail
- network infrastructure
- Internet access
- end-user services for faculty, staff, and students including
- desktop computing
- academic computing computer labs
- technology classrooms
- help desk services
- the university’s ERP System
- supporting applications
- learning management systems
- internal data and information management systems.
