The Office of Enrollment and Student Support Services oversees the distribution of the Emergency Student Assistance (ESA) Fund in collaboration with the Athens State University Foundation. ESA Funds are donor funds that are used to assist students who have unforeseen financial hardships that directly impact their ability to stay enrolled in classes. Students must meet specific requirements to qualify for these funds and must have exhausted all other financial resources (financial aid, third party loans, etc.) These funds may be offered in the form of grants or interest-free loans.
Students with unforeseen financial hardships should complete the application at the link below. Students seeking to cover their tuition balance should review other Types of Assistance at: https://www.athens.edu/admissions/financial-aid/types-of-assistance/
