Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce Partners With Athens State University as First Chamber Learning Partner, Benefiting All Chamber Members

Dateline: August 14, 2023 – Athens State University is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new learning partnership with the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, its first chamber learning partner. Benefits of learning partnerships include a 10% tuition discount on all classes, waived application fee, and complimentary evaluation of previously earned educational credits and training/professional certifications/portfolio for consideration of transfer credit. These benefits will extend to the parents, spouse, and children of the learning partner employee/member, including the employees of over 800 Decatur-Morgan County Chamber member organizations.

Founded in 1931 by the late Barrett C. Shelton, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce serves as an advocate for business. The Chamber’s membership includes more than 800 businesses and industries, the majority of which are small to mid-sized businesses. The ultimate goal of the Chamber is to make Decatur-Morgan County a better place to live, work, and play.
