Program Overview
Training is more than putting people in a classroom. Effective development begins with understanding what people and organizations need, designing learning experiences that address those needs, and measuring whether the training actually works. The M.Ed. in Training & Development prepares you to lead that process.
You’ll explore how adults learn, how organizations develop talent, and how effective training programs can support employee performance and organizational success. You’ll develop the skills to assess learning needs, design instruction, facilitate training, evaluate outcomes, and use technology to create engaging learning experiences.

The M.Ed. in Training & Development has four concentrations, of which students are required to choose two:
- Instructional Systems Design
- Instructional Media Development
- Leadership
- Human Performance
Through this program, you’ll learn how to move from identifying a learning need to designing and implementing a solution, and then determining whether it made a difference.
