The Athens State University Regional In-Service Center (Athens State RIC) will develop workshops to meet the identified needs of a specific school or school system. These workshops focus on critical needs areas determined by the State Department of Education: Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Technology, Health, Special Education, Library Media, Administration, Guidance and Counseling, Economics, and Social Studies.
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and the Leader in Me Process are two highly recommended programs that go hand-in-hand.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (workshop) and The Leader In Me (book study)
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People builds school culture through an inside-out approach. It heightens awareness of timeless principles as a foundation for day-to-day decision-making. As a result, participants begin to transform their organizational culture from the inside out, starting with themselves. They behave differently, create trust, and form strong relationships that ultimately lead to superior results and realized objectives. Participant manuals for the training will be provided by the in-service center.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is an integral part of The Leader in Me process. Because Alabama Regional In-Service Centers have chosen to support The Leader in Me, it is our goal to share this content with every school system.
